British born, based in Cologne Germany. I started out in graphic design, then moved into the arts and crafts.

After starting with graphic design I wanted a more hands on approach, so moved on to study silversmithing and jewellery. I completed, over the course of several years a couple of "real world" apprentaships in jewellery repair and jewellery manufacture and design, but wanted more control, so set about on my own. I wasn't geographically too settled, so thought the best approach was to try and sell over the world wide web, which wouldn't tie me geographically and enable to keep my cost relatively low minimizing workshop rental costs etc.The decision to "sell on-line" led me to web design and full circle into graphic design
In business I am always trying to control costs, which has lead me to develop the nesseccary technical ability for web site development. With an eye always on costs I constantly explore the various avenues available on the net for low cost or free solutions to problems. Which enables me to offer those skills and *penny pinching know-how* directly to my customers.
I still make and sell jewellery profesionally: but now also offer individuals and small businessess web design services.
